Meet Rachel

I am Rachel Hallett, the wife of my incredible triple-amputee husband, Jason Hallett. I have been blessed to marry my middle school sweetheart, who was injured on October 23, 2010 by an IED in Afghanistan while serving in the Marine Corps. We had lost touch for eight years before he reached out to me on Facebook in 2013. Since then, he has stolen my heart and we moved fast.

I married Jason in July, 2014, and we have since moved into our new home (from Homes for Our Troops) in our beautiful native state of Colorado. We have two sweet fur babies. I am currently studying English, working as Jason's full-time caregiver, and his administrative assistant. I consider my life extremely fulfilling, and I give all the glory to God, who has given me one miracle after another and been there when I couldn't have done it on my own. I love anything outdoors, as well as anything coffee.

I have a second blog: Wings and Warriors that is about the adventures Jason and I are experiencing. This blog was created on a more specific level: to connect with women on matters such as faith, family, and freedom. This is a place to share what gives us hope, how we find peace, what our families are up to, and our struggles. Most importantly- this is a safe place, free from judgement or gossip. My prayer is that myself and my readers can lift one another up through our journeys. I look forward to sharing with you and hearing from you!
